The Red Sox win the final game of their series against the Chicago Cubs with a 6-1 victory.

While the offense didn't look great through the first half of the game, Boston put together clutch at-bats against Chicago's bullpen leading to the win.

The Cubs scored the first run of the game in the 2nd inning with an RBI single from Ian Happ. Aside from Happ's RBI, Garrett Crochet put together another great game. Crochet pitched six innings of one run baseball keeping the Red Sox in the game when they struggled at the plate.

After a frustrating 6th inning where the Red Sox left Jarren Duran at third base, the Red Sox took the lead in the 7th inning with a two-run home run from Wilyer Abreu.

In the 8th inning, Boston extended their lead with a three-run, pinch hit home run by Alex Bregman along with another home run from Abreu.

These three home runs gave Boston the momentum they needed to come away with the victory. The bullpen pitched a scoreless outing the rest of the way keeping the Cubs at one run.

While this series in Chicago wasn't great, this was a massive win against one of the best teams in baseball. Bregman gets his first home run since coming back from his injury, and Crochet dominated once again.

The Red Sox will now travel to Philadelphia to start a series against the Phillies. First pitch will be at 6:45 p.m.
