Home runs: Tristan Casas and Tyler O'Neill recorded back-to-back solo shots in the 1st inning, continuing to stay hot. O'Neill's 7th home run ties him for most in Major League Baseball. Casas, who hit a home run yesterday, is now up to four on the season. In the 6th inning, Yoshida hit his 1st home run of the season against left-handed reliever Jose Suarez to extend Boston's lead and get them the win. 

Strong pitching: Brayan Bello picked up his 2nd win of the season, striking out eight batters. He struggled in the 3rd inning, allowing two runs and throwing 70 pitches up to that point, but still managed to pitch into the 6th inning maintaining the lead for the Red Sox.

Dalbec struggles: In 17 at-bats, Bobby Dalbec has yet to record a hit on the season, striking out 11 times. Starting the game at third base, Dalbec would be replaced for Wilyer Abreu midway through the game after recording a walk and a strikeout.

WHAT'S UP

The Red Sox scored six runs in the first two innings Saturday in their 7-2 win, ending their season-high four-game losing streak.

Trevor Story's injury has opened up some opportunities for other position players. Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored to help lead the offense. 

Brayan Bello looks to have a bounce back start after his last outing where he allowed three runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings in their 7-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. Bello has pitched at least five innings recoding two or fewer walks in each of his past four starts since last September. Bello is 0-2 with a 6.52 ERA in two career starts again the Angels

The Angels ended their five-game win streak yesterday with only Taylor Ward scoring a two-run home run in the third inning. Ward has homered in back-to-back games at Fenway Park and has 16 RBIs through his first 14 games this season.

Tyler Anderson has started the season with two consecutive scoreless outings in seven innings. No Angels pitcher has achieved that since 2016. Anderson allowed four hits and one walk while striking out three on Monday at home against Tampa Bay.
