Final: Red Sox 12 vs Baltimore Orioles 3 - Refsnyder and O'Neill hit consecutive back-to-back home runs in big offensive victory against Baltimore

Trevor's Game Notes:

Back-to-back: The Red Sox produced a monster offensive game against the Orioles and left handed pitcher Cade Povich. Most of Boston's offense came from Rob Refsnyder who went 4-4 at the plate hitting 2 home runs and a double and scoring 5 RBI's. After starting the game with a double, Refsnyder hit his first home run to the monster seats. 

Tyler O'Neill would then follow it up going back to back with Refsnyder to put the game 4-1 going into the 4th inning. 

This wouldn't be the only time the right hitters did this in this game, as Refsnyder and O'Neill would again go back-to-back in the 8th inning as well.

Helping the Stars: Even with Rafael Devers and Jarren Duran not performing at the plate tonight, the Red Sox finished the game with 12 runs taking down every pitcher the Orioles put in. Cedanne Rafaela was another huge contributer in this game,recording 4 RBI's on 2 hits. For a team that struggles to produce offense against lefty pitchers, it was great to see them produce this much offense. Starter Brayan Bello pitched well, only allowing 2 earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched. Even though he struggled with command and allowed a run in this game, he managed to keep the score of the game low for the Orioles.

Boston will continue their series with the Orioles tomorrow at 7:10 p.m.

WHAT'S UP

The Red Sox have won 2 of their last 3 games following a season-long 5-game losing streak. Boston lost their final game to the White Sox 7-2 after Zack Kelly allowed 4 of 5 runs in the 9th inning receiving the loss.

Alex Cora said he wanted to use Jansen only in a save situation if the Red Sox had taken the lead in the eighth. With the game tied 2-2, he used Kelly who gave up five runs on five hits and one intentional walk while recording just one out.
