Despite Rafael Devers telling reporters last night that "there's a good chance I'll play (today)", the Red Sox star will miss his second consecutive game with shoulder soreness.
“I feel a little bit of soreness in my shoulder,” Devers told reporters through a translator on Friday night. “It’s early in the season so we’ve got to be smart about that. And it’s better to take one or two days than play through and then miss two or three weeks."
Wilyer Abreu will make first appearance for Tyler O'Neil in RF. Pablo Reyes replaces Bobby Dalbec at 3B.
For Seattle, Josh Rojas and Dylan Moore will enter for Luis Urías and Dominic Canzone.
