Final: Rays 4, Red Sox 2 - Rays take the second game of the doubleheader, split day/night
The Red Sox dropped game two of the doubleheader 4-2. The Sox were tied 2-2 at the end of eight innings. Kenley Jansen who had pitched in game one, gave up two earned runs in the ninth. The Sox had the go-ahead runner on first and Jarren Duran was the potential winning run at the plate. He would ultimately fly out to center field after Jose Siri made a spectacular diving catch to end the game. The third game of the series will be played on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. and can be seen on NESN and heard on WEEI 93.7 FM.
