FINAL: Rangers 2 , Bruins 1 (OT) - Bruins blow lead ,Trocheck scores both goals for New York

The Bruins fell to the New York Rangers 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night in an Original Six matchup. Boston gave up a tying goal late in the third period which gave the Rangers momentum going into overtime. 

After a scoreless first period, The B's scored 2:07 into the second period thanks to a goal from Trent Frederic on the power play which made it 1-0 Boston. 

The main story of the second period was David Pastrnak being call for a five minute major and receiving a game misconduct which ended his night. While there was a lot of criticism about the ejection, the bottom line is that the hit resulted in Ryan Lindgren bleeding which is an automatic major penalty. 

The Rangers finally cashed in at the 10:50 mark of the third period to even the game up at one thanks to a goal from Vincent Trocheck. 

The Rangers scored 2:03 into the overtime period with another goal from Trocheck. 

Jeremy Swayman finished with 31 saves in net for the Bruins. Swayman had a great game denying New York many different chances and not letting the game get away from them. The defense also did a good job of pressuring the Rangers throughout. 

The Bruins will be back in action on Tuesday night when they will be back at TD Garden to face the Minnesota Wild with face off set for 7 p.m.
