THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1: Consistency: The Raptors are bad and they're missing players. This is a recipe for the Celtics to lay back and try to shoot their way to a win. I would like to see them come out with some consistent defensive effort, especially by Jayson Tatum.
2. Match Toronto’s intensity: We always see it with shorthanded teams. Guys who don’t get opportunities suddenly get 30 minutes and they take advantage to show off their capabilities. If the Celtics are slow to start, they’ll end up in an annoying fight with the Raptors.
3. Shooting: Boston’s 3-point shooting has been rough lately. For all the talk about the defense, which is an issue too often, normal 3-point shooting would have carried the Celtics through some of these losses. It’s about generating the good shots and taking them with confidence.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
