FIVE THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR

1. Jrue Holiday’s mobility: Not that I expect him to be anything but ready, but he’s been on the injury report with the hamstring so I want to see him out there and moving well. He looked good going through warmups so I think he’ll be fine, but some confirmation will be nice.

2. Attacking KAT: We all know it’s coming, might as well do it to see how New York will handle it. I think they should go to it right away just to force the Knicks to tip their hands early and maybe exhaust what few adjustment options the Knicks have.

3. Attacking Brunson: He is dealing with a sore right ankle, which just happens to be the ankle you push off of to guard a right-handed driver. So not only is he a defensive liability he’s hobbled. Throw some picks at him, force him to either push off that foot to fight through or die on screens and force the help. If he can’t maneuver around screens, the Celtics can tear the Knicks apart.

4. Supporting cast: This is a great opportunity for Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard to put some points on the board. If they can hit a few shots, the Celtics will look a lot more like the offense we’re used to. The Celtics might take 50 3-pointers in this game.

5. Kristaps Porzingis: Like I said in the series preview, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Knicks dare him to carry the offense in the early going. He’s coming off a rough series, so it will be nice to see him get comfortable early and blow up whatever New York’s plan is.
