BOSTON CELTICS vs NEW YORK KNICKS

TD Garden, 7:30 p.m. - TNT

Line: Boston -5.5

INJURIES

Boston: Kristaps Porzingis (OUT, ankle)

New York: Mitchell Robinson (OUT, ankle), Precious Achiuwa (OUT, hamstring)

THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR

1: Keeping emotions in check: The banner raising and ring-getting is going to lead to some big emotions and an unusual distraction for a generally focused team. How long does it take them to rein it in after the ceremonies? Are they going to come out too hyped for the game and get pulled out of their normal rhythm?

I wouldn’t be shocked at a quick timeout a couple of minutes into the game if things are obviously off. Joe Mazzulla knows what he wants to see and knows human nature might disrupt that.

2: Who guards Karl-Anthony Towns?: I expect Jrue Holiday to pull that assignment to start the game. New York will probably want to get KAT going early and Holiday is the best player to disrupt Towns on the perimeter. Also, Boston has other defenders that can match up pretty well the rest of the way. Al Horford or Luke Kornet will probably hide on Josh Hart and go from there.

3: Jayson Tatum’s jumper: Let’s see that thing in real regular season action. I’d like that storyline to subside quickly.

Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
