THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Do it again: Simply, let’s see that same effort we saw yesterday again today. Let’s see a team fighting through the fatigue of a back-to-back and making the same hustle plays they made against Orlando. I want to see crashing for offensive rebounds, getting back in transition, and off-ball cutting and moving.
2. Attack Trae Young: This is the easiest one because I know they're going to do that the whole game anyway. Joe Mazzulla is not shy about this game plan. They will attack him almost every time down the floor and the offense should flow off of that. They need to be mindful of where the help is coming from and exploit whatever matchup that turns into.
3. Depth coming through: I’m assuming at least one or two of the questionables will sit, which opens up an opportunity for someone to get more minutes. Whoever that is needs to make a meaningful contribution so Mazzulla doesn’t have to lean on his starters as much.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
