Final: Celtics 138, Cavs 107 - Hot shooting, resting opponent mask deficiencies
BOSTON CELTICS vs CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
Preseason game #3
TD Garden, 7 p.m. - NBCS Boston, ESPN
THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Frontcourt vs. frontcourt: Everyone is expected to play in this game, so we’re going to get a real look at what kind of frontcourt this Celtics team has. I’m looking forward to seeing how this goes and whether this group can step up versus one of the best frontcourts in the league.
2. The actual starters and rotation: This might be the best indication yet of what Joe Mazzulla’s rotation will be. I want to see how the starters do together and what kind of roles we’ll see Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser in. I want to see how Neemias Queta fares in the higher-tempo offense.
3. Fringe guys earning spots: Particularly Josh Minott. I just feel like we’ve seen some decent performances but they’ve come against the back halves of the Grizzlies and Raptors.
Bottom line, I’m looking forward to seeing some semblance of a real game … at least for the first half of this thing. Show me where the Celtics really are.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
