THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Rebounding: The Cavs have a significant size advantage, but they're also 19th in offensive rebound percentage. They're not crashing the way some other teams do, but at the same time, the scouting report is pretty clear on the Celtics. I’m curious to see if the Cavs send everyone to take advantage of it, or if they play their way and just rely on the talent advantage.
2. Energy guy: Which way does Joe Mazzulla go for his energy? Is it Josh Minott again? Hugo Gonzalez? Whichever way they go, will it be enough to bother the Cavs into turnovers and easy points?
3. Evan Mobley: Who guards him? How do they guard him? He’s been okay to start the season, but this feels like a game where he can be a problem. It also feels like the Celtics might go to Minott to match the length and hopefully bother Mobley enough to limit him. If I’m picking my poison, I’m picking Mitchell to maybe back off due to the hamstring (if he plays) and maybe a little lower workload minutes-wise because it’s still October. That means I’m throwing my defensive menace on Mobley to give the Celtics a chance.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
