THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Anfernee Simons: With Brown sitting this one out, someone is going to have to step up and handle a lot of the scoring. I expect Payton Pritchard and Derrick White to handle some of that, but Simons is going to have to pick up some of that slack, too. The only decent defenders on the Wizards are sitting this one out, so this is a great chance for him to get on track. As a matter of fact …
2. Everyone attacking: The Wizards are executing their tank to perfection, and they're not going to let something like Brown sitting out affect that. They already screwed up by beating the Bucks the other day. So this is a chance for everyone to pad their stats, but only if they are aggressive. Which leads me to …
3. Don’t take these guys lightly: Be aggressive but be cohesive. Don’t just relax on defense. Maybe Brown being out will remove the natural inclination for guys to say “eh, just go ahead and cook, JB” in situations like this. Just because the front office wants them to lose, the guys on the floor want to win. And they're in the NBA for a reason, so don’t give them a chance to surprise you.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
