THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR

1. Carry-over: Wednesday’s win was their best of the season. Can they carry that effort over into a similarly big opponent in Minnesota? I appears Jaylen Brown will play after appearing on the injury report with lower back spasms, and Amari Williams is with the team. A lot of the same elements are available for the Celtics to replicate their performance against Detroit. 

2. Going small: It worked before, maybe it’ll work again? The Celtics need to draw Rudy Gobert away from the rim, so will they throw someone smaller out there to match his minutes. The other side of going small is Gobert will want to post up and, historically, that has caused some problems for Minnesota. They don’t want to run that kind of offense but Gobert will be screaming for the ball. Maybe they’ll be able to frustrate him. 

3. Amari Williams: I wouldn’t be shocked if he gets a DNP, but I want to see him play and get some minutes. If you want more on that, check out what I wrote about him yesterday.
