THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Take this game seriously: Orlando is basically missing all their good players, which is a formula for the Celtics to come in thinking they can coast their way to a win. But guys like Cole Anthony, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Goga Bitadze can go off if they're left alone. The remaining Magic would love nothing more than to take advantage of their opportunity and upset the Celtics. Boston has to take this game seriously and put some space between them and Orlando early.
2. Still attacking, even if it’s to pass: Orlando still has some frontcourt size, but the Celtics need to challenge it with drives before kicking it out to 3. With the Magic shorthanded, the Celtics need to make seldom-used lineups think and make mistakes. Don’t just throw the ball around the perimeter. Drive and kick to get the wide open shots.
3. Kristaps Porzingis finding his shot: He should find himself wide open for some pick-and-pop 3-pointers. After the win in Chicago, Porzingis said his percentages were not where he wanted them to be, so this could be his chance to pump those up.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
