THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Brunson’s effectiveness: He was okay in his first game back against Phoenix. Let’s see if he’s able to get his normal burst to the rim and hit shots out of pick-and-rolls.
2. The Mitchell Robinson effect: I’m not sure how much he’ll play, but my guess is that he’ll have to be a big part of the Knicks attack against Boston in a series. The only way they have a chance is if Robinson is protecting the rim and forcing Boston into tough jumpers. Will they show this against Boston? Will they get him some minutes to get used to facing the Celtics again? I’m curious how he’s used and how effective he’ll be.
3. Attacking Karl-Anthony Towns: I just love watching this, honestly. I think it’s fun to see him floundering around at the 3-point line trying to defend the pick-and-roll. He never has a chance. I'm curious to see if the Knicks find a way around that. I would expect some pre-switching, but Boston will be too relentless to let that slide.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
