Final: Celtics 123, Hawks 93 - Tatum drops 28 in blowout win
BOSTON CELTICS (6-1) at ATLANTA HAWKS (2-4)
State Farm Arena, 7:45 p.m. - NBCS Boston
Line: Boston -10.5
Note: The 7:45 tip is because the NBA has all 30 teams in action with everyone off for election day tomorrow. They're staggering every game so one starts every 15 minutes.
INJURIES
Boston: Kristaps Porzingis (OUT, ankle), Jaylen Brown (OUT, hip)
Atlanta: Bogdan Bogdanovic (OUT, hamstring), De’Andre Hunter (OUT, knee), Kobe Bufkin (OUT, shoulder), Vit Krejci (OUT, adductor), Seth Lundy (OUT, ankle), Cody Zeller (Not with team)
THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Attacking Trae Young: Boston will target him relentlessly, forcing the defense into rotation. The Celtics need to make sure they're forcing those rotations by passing the ball and not just firing quick shots just because it’s a little open. A little extra work can get them the good-to-great shot.
2. Jumping on them quickly: Atlanta is on a back-to-back, and they're not the toughest team in the world. Hop on them quickly, make Young try to defend, and get them to quit early.
3. Bench dominance: I’m assuming another double-big lineup, so that means Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will continue to come off the bench. With the Hawks so decimated by injury, the Celtics can take advantage with some big minutes and production from Pritchard and Hauser.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
