OUT: Jaylen Brown (knee), Luke Kornet (illness)
MEMPHIS
OUT: Brandon Clarke (knee), Zyon Pullin (knee)
THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Ja Morant: He is coming back from a shoulder injury, struggling from the field against the Lakers in his return from a six-game absence. He still put up 22 points, so he’s going to get his, and he was two rebounds shy of a triple-double. The Celtics will want to show some help but not overcommit on Morant drives. Try to make him do it all himself. He killed Boston with a near triple-double a few months ago, so limiting his assists is a must.
2. Rebound: Clarke being out helps Boston because he killed the Celtics with offensive rebounds. The Grizzlies are second in the NBA in offensive rebounding, so it is imperative that Boston play with energy and clear the boards to complete stops.
3. Jrue Holiday: The Grizzlies left him open for 17 (!!) 3-pointer in their first matchup and he only hit four. This was in early December when Holiday wasn’t exactly playing his best ball. He’s shooting 35% from 3 in March. Taylor Jenkins has been fired, so I don’t know if Tuomas Iisalo will have the same inclination, but they might dip back into it at the start to see if it works again.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
