LAST TIME
Celtics 129, Bulls 112 - February 22
Derrick White was a first-quarter monster on both ends, scoring 12 while blocking three shots, but a late Bulls run cut the lead from 16 to eight heading into the second. Boston’s defense took the second quarter off, giving up 39 points and the lead, heading into the half down three. Jayson Tatum woke up and dropped 15 in the third to push the lead back out to 14. It got up to 21 at one point, and Boston cruised from there for their seventh straight win.
THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Tatum’s turn: Brown got his chance to cook with Tatum out, now Tatum gets his turn to cook without Brown. I’d like to see him keep distributing the ball since he’s going to get a lot of attention, and then move without the ball to get it back.
2. Ayo Dosunmu: He’s on a stretch of 34, 23, and 35 points. Granted, it was against Washington, Portland, and Houston, but he’s on a roll nonetheless. He’s shooting 40% from 3 this season, so he has to be accounted for.
3. Xavier Tillman: I still want to see him get more run. He had a rough game last night, but he needs to get more reps to get more comfortable.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
