PREGAME NOTES
Jim Montgomery won’t give his official lineup until roughly 90 minutes ahead of puck drop, but Boston’s bench boss did note on Tuesday that he was leaning toward slotting Craig Smith back in the lineup — especially with Trent Frederic day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Jakub Zboril will also slot in for Anton Stralman in the B's lineup.
Jeremy Swayman is expected to get the start in net for the Bruins, who are looking to capture their eighth straight victory.
Derek Forbort skated with the Bruins on Tuesday down in Florida, but the blueliner is still targeting early to mid-December as a return date after breaking his finger back on Nov. 1.
After winning the Presidents’ Trophy last season, the Panthers have stumbled out of the gate with a 9-8-2 record, although the return of Aaron Ekblad has been a major lift for a thin D corps.
Former BC star Spencer Knight is expected to get the start in net for Florida. Florida has given up 15 goals in their last three games (0-2-1).
