PREGAME NOTES

Linus Ullmark will get the start in net for the Bruins, who are looking to set an NHL record with their 12th straight victory at home to open a season.

Trent Frederic remains out with an upper-body injury, while Anton Stralman will replace Jakub Zboril on the blue line.

Fedor Kochetkov is expected to make his fourth straight start for Carolina after coach Rod Brind'Amour said Raanta "tweaked" something prior to the Hurricanes' 4-0 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday.

The Bruins are coming off of a lopsided loss to the Panthers on Wednesday, but Carolina is also in the midst of a four-game losing skid (0-1-3). Carolina is also in a 0-for-20 skid on the power play.
