Final: Golden Knights 5, Bruins 1 - Dorofeyev records hat trick for Vegas, Bruins struggle to generate offense
The Bruins fall to the Vegas Golden Knights 5-1. In this game, the Bruins recorded less than 20 shots on goal while the Golden Knights were able to apply pressure in the second and third periods which put the game out of reach.
After a scoreless first period, the Bruins only had four shots on net in the second period struggling to get anything going in their offensive zone. During this period, the Golden Knights took a 2-0 lead with Pavel Forofeyev scoring both goals.
what's better than one Pavel Dorofeyev goal?

Going into the third period down two goals, Boston still couldn't find any answers offensively, Much of the same happened in the final period, and the Golden Knights added onto their lead scoring three more goals, with Dorofeyev completing his hat trick.

On a positive note, the Bruins weren't shut out, as Morgan Geekie picked up the only goal for Boston late in the third period assisted by David Pastrnak.
Regardless, this was an uninspired performance by the Bruins who had nothing going for them in this game. The Golden Knights looked and played like the better team all throughout the game, and Boston didn't have any response.
Tomorrow, the Bruins take on the San Jose Sharks for another late night game. Puck drop will be at 10:30 p.m.
