PREGAME NOTES
The Bruins did not hold a morning skate on Friday, so no lineup changes will be announced until shortly ahead of puck drop. Jim Montgomery did note on Thursday that Linus Ullmark will get the start in net against New Jersey, while he was hoping to get both A.J. Greer and Jakub Zboril in the lineup.
The upstart Devils have been one of the top teams in the league for most of the season, but have fallen into a rut as of late — with a victory over the Panthers on Wednesday snapping what was a six-game losing streak.
New Jersey will be short-handed on the blue line against the Bruins. Defenseman John Marino sustained an upper-body injury during the second period of the Devils' 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday and sat out the final period that night. He didn't dress for the Wednesday win against Florida. Devils defenseman Ryan Graves was injured when he fell awkwardly into the boards early in the first period of the Wednesday game.
