The Bruins get back in the win column defeating the Canucks on the road 5-1. After getting blown out in the previous two games, Boston was able to correct their mistakes en route to an impressive victory.

Boston started the game strong scoring two goals in the first period. Their first goal came on the power play with Brad Marchand receiving a cross-crease from David Pastrnak.

Moments later, Morgan Geekie got the second goal of the game receiving a pass from behind the net from Pastrnak.

The Bruins continued expanding their lead in the next period adding two more goals to their total. Early in the second, Pavel Zacha scored the third goal of the game from a neutral zone pass from Pastrnak. After receiving the puck, Zacha skated with speed into the offensive zone and scored going backhand to forehand on Vancouver goalie Thatcher Demko. Pastrnak's third assist of the night was historic as he recorded his 400th career assist on the play

Later in the period, Mark McLaughlin scored his first goal of the season firing a shot that ricocheted off a Canuck defenseman.

In the final period, Pastrnak capped off his three-assist night with a wrap-around goal moments after the period started giving the Bruins their final goal of the night.

Overall, this was a great bounce back victory for the Bruins who had a disappointing week of hockey up to this point. A lot of the mistakes that were made in the previous games were corrected, and it resulted in Boston picking up the winning.

The Bruins played discipline hockey, staying out of the penalty box which helped them win the special teams battle. Along with that, they finally won the puck battles that helped them position themselves better in the offensive zone. This resulted in more shots in the slot for Boston, and it resulted in more goals.

The Bruins will continue their road trip Tuesday facing off against the Calgary Flames. Puck drop will be at 9 p.m.
