Final: Bruins 3, Blues 2 - Bruins score 3 in the 3rd for huge comeback victory
The Bruins complete a comeback victory in St. Louis defeating the Blues 3-2.
Boston came out to a disappoint start allowing two power play goals in the second period. However, the Bruins turned things around when it mattered most scoring three consecutive goals in the final period coming out with the win.
In the first period, Boston had a couple power play opportunities to score the first goal of the game. However, like in many of their previous games, the Bruins struggled trying to maintain pressure in the offensive zone. The Bruins were able to kill off a penalty late in the opening period, and both teams went scoreless going into the first intermission. During that period, Hampus Lindholm left the game after getting injured while blocking a shot, leaving the Bruins with five defensemen the rest of the way.
The second period became a struggle for Boston. Cole Koepke went to the penalty box for high sticking, and the Blues scored the first goal of the game as Brayden Schenn got behind Boston's defense and put a rebound shot into the empty net.
David Pastrnak would then head to the penalty box for another high sticking penalty, and the Blues scored their second power play goal of the period from Oscar Sundqvist.

When everything up to this point looked bad for Boston, the Bruins turned it around delivering one of their best periods of the season. The first goal for the Bruins came from Morgan Geekie on a one-timer goal in transition. Pastrnak stole the puck in the neutral zone and made his way to the offensive zone with speed. With a defender on him, Pastrnak delivered a pass to the opposite side of the net where Geekie fired a shot on one knee to get Boston on the scoreboard.

Midway into the period, Charlie McAvoy scored a one-timer goal of his own to tie the game up. On a broken up play in the offensive zone, Brad Marchand retrieved a loose puck delivering it to McAvoy who buried a slap shot from the point into the back of the net.

In the final five minutes of regulation, the Bruins pressured the Blues firing multiple shots at Jordan Binnington. With the Blue unable to retrieve the puck, McAvoy found Pastrnak on the left face off dot where Pastrnak ripped another one-timer goal that squeaked by Bennington and gave the Bruins their first lead of the night.

In the third period alone, the Bruins showcased their best offensive efforts the entire season. They maintained possession of the puck while also getting great scoring chances from all areas of the nice. The Bruins finally got a break to go their way and hopefully this can become a momentum shifter for the following games.
The Bruins will now head to Dallas to take on the Stars for the second time this season. Puck drop will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
