FINAL: Stars 7  Bruins 2 - Second Period Kills Boston in Loss taken at BSJ Headquarters  (Bruins)

The Bruins fell to the Dallas Stars 7-2 on Thursday night. Dallas took a 1-0 lead 1:09 into the game on a Matt Duchene goal that went over the goal of Jeremy Swayman

Evgenii Dadonov made it 2-0 later in the period on a controversial penalty shot.

 Boston did not get anything going until late in the first period when they finally broke through with a Charlie Coyle goal that made it 2-1.

 The only other Bruins goal came early in the third period from David Pastrnak on an assist from Morgan Geekie that made it 6-2 Dallas. 

The difference in the game tonight was the second period. Boston gave up three goals in the second that put this game out of reach. Dallas first scored early in the period from Evgenii Dadonov, his second of the gameThe Stars went on to score two goals in 1:41 from both Oskar Back (his first career goal) and Logan Stankoven. 

The third period was more of the same with Roope Hintz scoring 0:47 into the period and then Mason Marchment scoring late in the period to put the cherry on top. Boston was outshot 38-25. 

Jeremy Swayman finished with 31 saves on 38 shots. 

The Bruins will return home Saturday afternoon to face the St. Louis Blues at 1 p.m.

Jordan Oesterle will make his Boston season debut tonight pairing alongside Parker Wotherspoon on the third line. Oesterlehas eight points (three goals, five assists) in nine games down in Providence this season. 

Jeremy Swayman will most likely get the start in net for the Bruins tonight. 

Boston recalled Patrick Brown from Providence today. 

Dallas enters tonight third in the central divison. Matt Duchene leads Dallas with eight goal and 18 points in 14 games.
