FINAL: Bruins 5, Sabres 2 - 4 B's score first goal of season in win
The Bruins defeated the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 on Tuesday night to improve to 12-1-2 on the season. Boston is now 10-0-1 in their last 11 games. The story tonight was that four different B's players scored their first goal of the season.

Boston got on the board early as Danton Heinen scored his first goal of the year at the 3:01 mark in the first period.

David Pastrnak scored a 1:08 later to give Boston a 2-0 advantage. Brandon Carlo was the second B's player that recorded his first goal of the season at the 15:14 mark to make it 3-0 Bruins.

Boston added two more goals in the second period. The first one came from Oskar Steen who was the third Boston player to earn his first goal of the year coming at the 4:07 mark. Hampus Lindholm was the last B's player to record his first goal of the season coming at the 12:33 mark on the power play. Charlie McAvoy ,Pavel Zacha and Pastrnak were all credited with two assists tonight. Pastrnak finished the night with three points.
Buffalo's two goals came from Victor Olofsson, first at the 15:07 mark in the second period and at the 15:02 mark in the third period.
Linus Ullmark had a great night in net finishing with 32 saves for Boston.

Overall, the Bruins responded well to the loss at Montreal, but still need to work on playing a full 60 minutes. Boston will be back in action on Saturday night when they return to TD Garden to face the Montreal Canadiens in a rematch from last week with face off set for 7p.m.

PREGAME NOTES
The Bruins will finish their road trip tonight in Buffalo at 7pm when they face the Sabres. Boston enters tonight with an 11-1-2 record on the season, but will look to rebound after their loss in overtime north of the border in Montreal on Saturday night.
Jim Montgomery announced some lineup changes for tonight which includes: Kevin Shattenkirk replacing Ian Mitchell on the third line with Derek Forbort, Danton Heinen and Jake DeBrusk switching sides on the third line, with Matt Poitras in the center and Linus Ullmark will be starting in net.
Charlie Coyle will be playing in his 800th NHL game tonight for the Bruins.
The Sabres enter tonight with a record of 7-7-1 on the season. Buffalo is 1-7-1 in their last 10 games against the B's, and 1-8-1 at home.
Kyle Okposo will be appearing in his 1,000th NHL game tonight for the Sabres. Okposo leads all Buffalo players in career goals (10), assists (18) and points (28).
Another player to keep an eye on is Tage Thompson who was recorded 11 points in his last nine games. Jeff Skinner has recorded 12 points in his last 11 games for Buffalo and JJ Peterka has eight points in his last eight games.
Buffalo goaltenders have a combined .932 save percentage in their last two contests. The Sabres are 5-1 this season when their goaltender has a save percentage of .920 or better in the game.
