Final: Bruins 5, Blues 2 - Kastelic and Minten both score 2 goals in win against Blues
The Boston Bruins win their first game of a three game road trip against the St. Louis Blues 5-2.
Boston finally got their superstar forward David Pastrnak back in the lineup. However, offense provided from Boston's bottom-six forwards helped get the win tonight.
It was a rough start to the game for Boston. The Blues received good scoring chances against Jeremy Swayman to start the first period, and the Bruins couldn't stay out of the box.
Pavel Zacha received the first penalty of the game, and the Blues scored on the power play with a one-timer goal in the slot from Robert Thomas.
Boston upped their play in the next period and responded with an early goal from Frasier Minten. Boston pressured St. Louis in their own zone, and Minten put the puck in the back of the net on a lose play.

One minute later, Boston took the lead with a goal from Mark Kastelic. Victor Soderstrom shot the puck from the point that was tipped twice before going into the net. The Bruins went into the second intermission up by a goal following the strong period. Boston's second goal was originally credited to Sean Kuraly, who tipped the puck the first time.

The Blues didn't leave the game without a fight, as they tied up the game early into the third period. Thomas scored his second of the game off a bad dump and chase that lead to a turnover by Andrew Peeke.
But this tie didn't last long. Kastelic and Minten both recorded their second goals of the night, and the Bruins had a two goal lead in the winding seconds of the game.

Zacha scored Boston's fifth goal on the empty net, and the Bruins won their first game of the road trip in St. Louis.
This was a great win for the Bruins who get a win against a team they should've defeated. Following a poor start to the game, they played their brand of hockey. They played physical and limited unnecessary penalties, and eventually the goals came through.
The Bruins will now head to Winnipeg to take on the Jets on Thursday. Puck drop will be at 8 p.m.
