PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins will have some reinforcements in place for Saturday’s matchup against the 8-0-0 Panthers, as Craig Smith will return to the lineup after missing the last three games due to injury. Smith will return to his usual spot on the second line with Charlie Coyle and Taylor Hall.

Linus Ullmark will get the start in net for Boston, while Curtis Lazar and Karson Kuhlman will remain in the lineup on the third and fourth lines, respectively. Connor Clifton will be back in the lineup on the right side of Boston's third pair after sitting out as a healthy scratch in favor of Jakub Zboril on Thursday night in Carolina.

The Panthers will look to improve to 9-0-0 on Saturday — but are on the second leg of a back-to-back slate after defeating the Red Wings in overtime on Friday.
