PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins will have some reinforcements incoming for this matchup, with Brad Marchand set to return to the lineup after a three-game suspension. He will skate on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak. Taylor Hall will return to the second line and skate with Charlie Coyle and Craig Smith. 

Charlie McAvoy will return to the lineup after missing Saturday’s OT loss to the Lightning due to an illness. Oskar Steen will also enter the lineup for Boston.

Despite a nasty bug (non-COVID illness) that put plenty of players on the shelf over the last few days, only Tomas Nosek will not play due to illness on Wednesday. 

The Canucks and new head coach Bruce Boudreau took a step in the right direction on Monday, defeating the Kings, 4-0, in Boudreau’s first game behind the bench.
