PREGAME NOTES

Thursday’s bout will be more than just a measuring-stick game for Boston. With a regulation win, the Bruins can leapfrog the Bolts in the standings, and tie Toronto for second place in the Atlantic with 85 points. 

Despite being listed as “probable” on Wednesday, Patrice Bergeron was not cleared by doctors for Thursday’s game and will miss his fourth straight game. Jack Studnicka will slot back into the lineup at 1C.

Hampus Lindholm will make his Bruins debut and skate next to Charlie McAvoy. Mike Reilly will be a healthy scratch, with Derek Forbort and Connor Clifton skating on the third pair together. 

While the Bruins are 12-2-1 in their last 15 games, the Bolts have lost five of their last seven games.
