PREGAME NOTES

Patrice Bergeron will slot back into the lineup after missing the past three games due to a head laceration. He will center a first line with Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak. 

The Frederic-Coyle-Smith line will remain intact, while Erik Haula will slot down to a third line with Jake DeBrusk and Nick Foligno.

Urho Vaakanainen will slot back into the lineup and skate on Boston’s third D pair with Derek Forbort. 

Linus Ullmark will get the start in net for Boston. 

The reeling Islanders will try to snap a three-game losing streak in Elmont, when they host the Boston Bruins in a rematch of the teams' 2021 Eastern Conference second-round series, which New York won in six games.

While the Bruins have put forth middling results against other teams in the playoff picture, New York is just 3-16-2 against teams currently occupying a playoff spot.
