PREGAME NOTES
Tuesday marks the first meeting between the Bruins and the Canadiens this season. Boston swept the season series last year, going 4-0-0 and taking both games at the Bell Centre.
The Bruins defeated the San Jose Sharks, 4-0, on Sunday, extending their winning streak to five as part of a 9-1-0 stretch in their last 10 games. Swayman is expected to start in goal, and the B’s will dress the same lineup of skaters as Sunday. Boston recalled McLaughlin from Providence of the AHL on Monday.
The Habs are 5-5-0 in their last 10, taking down the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-2 in overtime, on Saturday. Montreal will likely dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Montembeault will make his eighth start in a row. Dach participated in morning skate and is expected to play after taking a maintenance day on Monday. Wideman and Allen skated, as well as Monahan in a no-contact sweater. Neither will to return to the lineup.
