FOXBOROUGH - Practice No. 18 of 2024 is in the books; let's run down all you need to know: all the stats, 3 up/down, 1-on-1 pass rushes, and odds and ends:
THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Vederian Lowe exits with an injury: Vederian Lowe, the presumed starter at left tackle, left practice early with what appeared to be a left torso/rib cage injury. Caeden Wallace got the majority of reps in Lowe's place. Kellen Diesch got the other reps when Wallace went to right tackle. I don't think Chuks Okorafor got any reps, which has been an issue. The Patriots did put their lines into a blender a bit today.
Drake Maye inches up: This was pretty much a nothing-burger of a practice since most of it was on cards/slower pace (outside pass rush 1-on-1s and the kicking competition) but we did see Drake Maye take three snaps with David Andrews for the first time in pads and live situations. While Jacoby Brissett got the vast majority, this was some progress for Maye. What it means in the grand scheme of things in terms of the "competition," I have no idea.
Chad Ryland may have kicked himself out of the competition: The incumbent made from 35 but missed from 42, 48 and 50. Meanwhile, Joey Slye was a perfect 4 for 4.

QB STATS
No real QB stats today to speak off, other than Brissett was picked off on his first pass and nearly threw another. Even 7-on-7s was half speed.
ONE-ON-ONE REPORT
No split reps! But limited.

Notes:
- Decisive wins: Sam Roberts completely bullied Atonio Mafi and put him on skates. Caeden Wallace shut down Jotham Russell easily, which he should. Newcomer Christian McCarroll blitzed Kellen Diesch with a ton of speed to the inside.
- Ekuale and Onwenu split two good reps. Ekuale won the first rather easily.
- Wallace also beat Jennings, so it was a good day for the rookie with his LT stint too.
- Sow drew with White, which was a nice showing for him.
- Robinson beat Watts and lost to Hill.
- Hard to see Armon Watts making the roster.
