FOXBOROUGH — Just going to sort of spill my notebook out from what I saw. Giardi and I sort of split the practice as much as we could. In team, I had the Patriots' offense and offensive line 1-on-1s. He'll post his observations on the defense and WRs in 1-on-1s.
Jonathan Jones, Marcus Jones and Shaun Wade all headed to rehab after stretching. Joshuah Bledsoe stayed on the field.
No Hunter Henry.

TAKEAWAYS
1. The pass protection was just atrocious, especially for Maye. He definitely invites pressure due to his indecisiveness, but this was ridiculous.
2. The practice wasn't great for the offense, and it got worse as it went on. They got put into a bodybag in the last couple of sessions. I mean, basically the Patriots had 42 dropbacks in team, there were 14 sacks and 12 incompletions. The completions weren't very long.
3. I don't know how they are going to handle Maye on Thursday. You could make the argument you start Brissett for a series, give Maye the rest with the ones ... like 2 series. The bottom line is Maye didn't get much out of this practice, and it wasn't his fault.
