The 2024 NFL Draft has come and gone. As the NFL calendar flips to the spring, so does the next draft cycle, as scouts have already begun the evaluation process for the 2025 NFL Draft, scheduled to be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
While the Class of 2024 delivered an overwhelming amount of quarterbacks, the 2025 draft class promises to be full of pass-rushers, certainly one need that still remains for New England. However, with new franchise quarterback Drake Maye in tow, the Patriots could be looking to build around their new signal-caller.
Below is our first stab at how the first round could play out when we fast-forward 11 months from now.
2025 NFL Mock Draft
1. Tennessee Titans: Jaxon Dart, QB, Mississippi - The one quarterback not being discussed enough is Dart, who has a slingshot of an arm and the ability to extend plays in the pocket. Ole Miss could make a run at a National Championship which would see Dart's draft stock soar.
2. Carolina Panthers: James Pearce Jr., ER, Tennessee - With a chock-full of edge rushers to choose from, Carolina nabs the top one on the board in Pearce Jr. who terrorized the SEC with nine and a half sacks during his first year as starter.
3. New York Giants: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia - New York made a paltry offer to swap with New England, in an attempt to move up for Drake Maye. They'll pay the price this year for not landing a new signal-caller but win-out in the long run next year.
4. Denver Broncos: Harold Perkins, ER, LSU - A bit leaner than some of the other top edge prospects, Perkins has the quickest get-off of any. An instant impact player as a freshman, Perkins Jr. continued his torrid pace during his second season and has 26 tackles for loss and 13 sacks in that span.
5. Washington Commanders: Abdul Carter, ER, Penn State - It has been an NFL factory for pass-rushers in Happy Valley lately. Add Carter as the next one to come down the pipeline, adding to the Commanders building blocks.
6. Indianapolis Colts: Travis Hunter, CB, Colorado - It was a sensational year for Hunter who also duals on the offensive side of the ball, until injuries slowed him down. While he has show the ability to be a playmaker on offense, his instincts and physicality are better suited at corner.
7. New Orleans Saints: Patrick Payton, ER, Florida State - The Seminoles defensive line is loaded and Payton finally gets to step into the leading role, as he continues to pad his resume. Over the past two seasons, Payton has accumulated 20.5 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.
8. New England Patriots: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri - New England stayed true to their script and nabbed their franchise signal-caller. Look for the Patriots to continue to build around Maye and add more playmakers. There's no doubt that rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javin Baker will have an immediate opportunity to carve out significant roles in year one but the presence of Burden III would provide a bonafide WR1 threat.
9. Minnesota Vikings: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan - There is some slight Heisman buzz for the lanky cover man from Ann Arbor who seems primed to take his game to the next level and has no limit to how far he can rise.
10. Las Vegas Raiders: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama - With a current situation that consists of Gardner Minshew and/or Aidan O'Connell, it's highly likely that the Raiders will be in the QB market a year from now. The mobile Milroe brings a winning pedigree and experience.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Campbell, OT, LSU - The most polished offensive tackle entering the '24 season, Campbell boasts excellent size, strength and technique. He has started 26 games at left tackle since stepping foot on the Baton Rouge campus.
12. Jacksonville Jaguars: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame - While Jacksonville added some secondary pieces in the draft this year, the depth at boundary corner is thin. That's where the long-framed Morrison can help.
13. Cleveland Browns: Mykel Williams, ER, Georgia - The explosive Williams ended his season with a bang in the Orange Bowl and then created a buzz during the Bulldogs spring game. Those around the program believe he possesses the traits to be the potential top overall pick.
14. Seattle Seahawks: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado - Dismissing Russell Wilson wasn't neccesarily a bad move but the Seahawks have yet to find an adequate long-term solution. The enigma Sanders brings plenty of flash both on and off the field.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia - A playmaker at safety, Starks has been praised for his rare athleticism and coach Kirby Smart has stated that Starks could even start at cornerback if needed. He's fast, physical and versatile.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers: Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio State - We saw the Steelers' continued propensity to build inside the trenches and the mauling Jackson is another player who fits the Pittsburgh DNA.
17. Arizona Cardinals: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona - Why not double down on another big target for Kyler Murray? Pairing McMillan with Marvin Harrison Jr. would present a mismatch nightmare for opposing defenses.
18. Buffalo Bills: Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona - With his combination of size and instincts, Davis is one of the better cover corners in the nation. He tends to get his hands on a bunch of balls (15 pass deflections in '23) but has just one career interception to date.
19. Los Angeles Chargers: Coleston Loveland, TE, Michigan - Who would have it better than Loveland, if he were to reunite with his former ball coach Jim Harbaugh who seems to be assembling a 'Michigan West' roster.
20. Chicago Bears: JT Tuimoloau, ER, Ohio State - Enough stacking has been accomplished on the offense side of the ball. Expect Chicago to be active on defense next draft and it starts with getting after the quarterback.
21. New York Jets: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas - With a play style similar to Aaron Rodgers, the Longhorns signal-caller could sit for a year, or has the experience to start immediately should Rodgers retire. Ewers need to first prove to scouts he can remain healthy.
22. Dallas Cowboys: Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson - The Cowboys failed to address the linebacker position in any significant capacity and Carter brings great versatility to lineup at multiple spots. He excels in pass coverage.
23. Cincinnati Bengals: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State - A big, physical wideout who thrives in jump ball situations, Egbuka returns to Columbus for one more season to assume the head honcho role.
24. Philadelphia Eagles: Joshua Gray, OT, Oregon State - Philadelphia starting right tackle Lane Johnson appears to be on his last legs and Gray is a fundamentally polished prospect who the Eagles could plug and play.
25. Baltimore Ravens: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan - It's no secret that Baltimore likes to get nasty in the trenches and Graham brings a tenacious demeanor to the middle of the defensive line.
26. Los Angeles Rams: J.Michael Sturdivant, WR, UCLA - Plucked from their own backyard, the commute wouldn't be far for the speedy Sturdivant who brings tremendous length and owns a huge catch radius.
27. Kansas City Chiefs: Jack Sawyer, ER, Ohio State - The Buckeyes have a pair of bookend pass-rushers heavily on the NFL radar. Sawyer is a typical hand-in-the-dirt end who wins with power and leverage.
28. San Francisco 49ers: Jason Marshall Jr., CB, Florida - One of the faster players eligible for the draft, Marshall Jr. also has prototype length, to go along with lockdown ability.
29. Miami Dolphins: Barion Brown, WR, Kentucky - If we didn't know any better, Miami head coach Mike McDaniels is building an Olympic track team. Brown is a contender to break the modern-day forty-yard dash record set by Xavier Worthy (4.21).
30. Detroit Lions: Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia - A leaner, athletic tackle, Milum assumed the left tackle role last season after starting on the right side during his first season in Morgantown. He will need to continue to bulk up.
31. Houston Texans: Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa - Houston tight end Dalton Schultz will be entering the final year of his contract and Lachey offers greater upside at a more cost-effective price.
32. Green Bay Packers: Marvin Jones Jr., ER, Florida State - The son of former Seminoles Hall of Fame legend Marvin Jones (No.4 overall pick of the 1993 NFL Draft), junior has carved out his own path to the pros carrying those strong bloodlines.
