Casas’ at-bats led the way for the Sox, he finished 2-for-3 with two homers. The 23-year-old had a game-high three RBI and also worked a walk.
His first homer came in the second inning, launching a solo blast to open the frame. His solo blast was a rocket that landed in the right-field bleachers.

The Red Sox had some fielding blunders in the game and one no bigger than allowing a three-run Little League homer in the fourth inning.
With two runners in scoring position and two outs, Mets’ Jeff McNeil singled to center field, as the runners scored, Duran overthrew the cutoff man. Catcher Jorge Alfaro caught the ball well in front of home plate and attempted to throw out McNeil who was trying to advance to second base.
Alfaro launched the ball over Chang’s head covering second and the ball landed in center. As the ball rolled to the warning track, McNeil easily scored giving the Mets a 3-2 lead.
Justin Garza struggled again pitching in a mop-up role only tossing 2/3 innings giving up three runs off three hits. With two outs and 1-0 count against Brett Baty, Garza balked prompting Alex Cora to come out of the dugout and removing the righty from the game. Kenley Jansen came in for the save.
