Mac Jones made a surprise appearance in the locker room today, in another sign he's getting closer to returning to the lineup.

Transcript:

Do you think you'll be ready Monday?

Like I said, just gonna try and do my best to, you know, put the hours in to get ready; definitely moving better, feel pretty good.

How's it been going through this injury and it was your first major injury? How's it been for you mentally?

Yeah, it's been ... it's been good, I think you get to, you know, watch and learn as much as you can and try and get healthy. I've done a good job trying to help the team as best I can, in film and during the game, to watch, it was really good. Obviously, I want to be out there, help the team win and that's what I'm going to do.

Bailey said you've really supported him, why has that been important for you?

Yeah, I think I've been in these type of situations before and just whether that's in college or not, if you're in, you're in, and you want to have everyone helping you, so he's done a good job stepping up, you know, being a young guy and I've always had really good mentors and things like that, so that's my plan.

Physically do you think the ankle is ready to go?

I think it feels pretty good. I'm just trying to work through all this stuff, being able to play an NFL football game and want to be able to go out there and help the team and, you know, once I'm there, I'm there. So I'm definitely making progress. And we've done a good job with the treatment.
