BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - MAY 31: Brad Marchand #63 of the Boston Bruins celebrates his game tying goal at 14:06 of the third period against the New York Islanders in Game Two of the Second Round of the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs at the TD Garden on May 31, 2021 in Boston, Massachusetts

Mark your calendars, people — because the Bruins’ schedule for the 2021-22 season has finally been released.

After the 2019-20 season was capped at 70 games for Boston due to the COVID-19 pandemic — and the following 2021 season was shortened to 56 games — the 2021-22 season will return to some much-needed normalcy, with the B’s and the 31 other teams in the NHL returning to a 82-game slate.

Boston will open the season at home with a matchup against the Dallas Stars on Oct. 16 before heading out on the road for games against the Flyers (10/20) and Sabres (10/22).

The Bruins’ will welcome the Seattle Kraken to TD Garden on Feb. 1 and will travel to Seattle for their first game at Climate Pledge Arena on Feb. 24. The Maple Leafs will return to Boston for a matchup on March 29 — marking the first B’s/Leafs matchup at TD Garden since Oct. 22, 2019.

The 2021-22 schedule also includes a three-week break set aside for the 2022 Winter Olympics — which will begin with All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas from Feb. 4-5. However, with no clarity yet between the NHL, the IOC and the NHLPA in regards to player participation in the upcoming Winter Games, the league reportedly has another draft of the schedule at the ready that shortens that break if the Olympics aren’t a feasible option for the league.

If that three-week break holds, the Bruins will have an … interesting home-and-home slate with the Kraken (Feb. 1 @ TD Garden - Feb. 24 @ Climate Pledge Arena).

Game times, as well as regional and national broadcast information will be released at a later date.
