Nick Ritchie finally opens the scoring. 1-0 Bruins.

Big stop from Rask. He's only made a few saves, but some of them have been Grade-A looks.

PREGAME NOTES:

The Bruins can secure the final playoff spot in the MassMutual East Division if they earn at least one point against the Devils or if the Capitals defeat the Rangers in any fashion.

Tuukka Rask will get the start in net, while Bruce Cassidy will not make any tweaks to Boston's forward lines following Saturday's convincing win over the Sabres. On defense, Mike Reilly will not play Monday due to a nagging ailment, but Cassidy added that the puck-moving blueliner will likely play Tuesday. Kevan Miller will play tonight and then rest on Tuesday during the second leg of the back-to-back slate. Brandon Carlo is slated to return to the lineup Tuesday.

The Devils might be cellar-dwellers in the East, but they've done very well against Boston this season — leading the season series thus far with a 4-0-2 record, with their only losses coming in shootouts. New Jersey hasn't hosted Boston since Jan. 14 and 16 when it went 1-0-1.
