PREGAME NOTES:

For the first time since March 25, Tuukka Rask will be back in net for Boston — and looking to complete his first full game since way back on March 7 after suffering an upper-body injury.

Jakub Zboril will replace Kevan Miller on the D corps, with Miller sidelined with an "issue", per Cassidy, that is unrelated to the knee injury that he's dealt with for years now. Jarred Tinordi will also slot out of the lineup, with Steven Kampfer likely drawing in. Brandon Carlo, Matt Grzelcyk and Ondrej Kase remain out.

Boston has lost all five (0-3-2) of its previous matchups against the Islanders this season.

"They've outplayed us in the third period. You've got to play winning hockey against good teams at crunch time. They've been better than us in that area for whatever reason," Bruce Cassidy said. "It's been a number of different reasons, it's been shorthanded goals, it's been turnovers in the front of our net. There's been different things. Overtime we got beat, we weren't ready for speed. Give them credit. We just have to be better. I think we've been in every game with them. That's typically how it goes with the Islanders with us anyway. Two fairly structured teams that don't give you a lot. I anticipate it will be a lot more of the same tonight."
