LIVE COVERAGE

Fourth quarter

  • Orlando opens the 4th on an 8-2 run and the Boston lead is down to 10. Considering Boston's problems closing games, this is a less than ideal development

  • The Celtics managed to answer the Orlando run, flipping two Evan Fournier misses into points

  • Jaylen Brown is, as the kid say, in his bag. He's up to a career-high 10 3-pointers

Third quarter

  • Boston came out of the half with a purpose, going on a 10-1 run largely behind Kemba Walker's offense and a continuation of their very active defense. This is an opportunity for Boston to break the game open and possibly give guys some rest going into the back-to-back.

  • 3-pointers from Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker have helped push the lead to 21 about halfway through the quarter. Brown is up to 6-11 from deep and a game-high 20 points with 6:46 to go in the third

  • Brown is 7-12 from 3. The 7 3-pointers tie a career high. The Celtics are 20-41.

  • The Celtics didn't do a great job of finishing the quarter, giving up a 6-0 run to cut a 22 point lead to 16.

Second quarter

  • Kemba Walker is starting to find a groove, hitting a couple of jumpers. Celtics need him to get going

  • Aaron Nesmith is getting some early minutes. He's a bit erratic and he had a fast break opportunity where he should have given the ball up but he kept it and missed the layup

  • Jaylen Brown got cooking, hitting a couple of 3-pointers and fueling a 9-2 Celtics run to take the lead

  • The defense has picked up, forcing 3 turnovers in the quarter and holding Orlando to 11 points at the 2:02 mark

  • This was a very good quarter for the Celtics. This is how they should be playing all the time.

First quarter

  • Jayson Tatum came out hot, starting with a pretty backdoor cut for a dunk and then two 3-pointers. He had 8 of Boston's 11 at the first timeout. Jaylen Brown had the other 3

  • The Celtics activity is much better than it was against Sacramento. They're still missing a bunch of shots, though, shooting 5-16 at the 4:22 mark of the quarter. Brown and Kemba Walker are 1-8.

  • Nikola Vucevic is carrying the Magic and getting basically anything he wants. He's 4-7 (2-3 3pt) at the second timeout, scoring 10 points and grabbing 7 rebounds

  • The Celtics defense is giving up too many good looks from 3. Orlando is shooting 6-11 from deep, and a couple of those have come at the end of long possessions where the rest of the defense was good. It's very disheartening to play good D for 20 seconds and then give up a 3-pointer

  • Celtics vs. Magic spread: Celtics -8.5

  • Celtics vs. Magic over-under: 215 points

  • Celtics vs. Magic money line: Celtics -375, Magic +305
