Celtics draft Yam Madar at No. 47

With the Celtics' final pick of the night, they went with a 19-year-old point guard in Yam Madar. The Celtics will stash the prospect overseas for at least a season. Here's one early scouting report on him via NBA.com

Yam Madar is a quick and shifty Israeli point guard who amazes with his great passing and handle. He started his pro career in June, 2018, signing a four-year deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv. A month later, Madar recorded a strong performance at the U18 European Championships Division B with the Israeli national team. But the 2019 U20 European Championships was the event where he shined at, having a remarkable all-around showing, teaming with likely high lottery pick Deni Avdija to help Israel to the gold medal. Madar led the event in assists and was the second-best scorer for his team.

More insight to come on Madar once we get a look at his film...
