Rebounding from a tough loss in the opener of a doubleheader with the Philadelphia Phillies, the Red Sox came back and took a 5-2 victory in the nightcap.
Bobby Dalbec smacked a two-run homer in the sixth to snap a 2-2 tie, then added a run-scoring single in the seventh for good measure. It was Dalbec's fifth homer in nine games and marked his fourth straight game with a homer.
Chris Mazza became just the third Red Sox starting pitcher to earn a victory this season with five strong innings.

T7th: Dalbec lines a single to center, scoring Bogaerts for an insurance run. Three RBI tonight, four for the day.
B6th: A shaky -- to say the least -- inning from Phillips Valdez, who gets out of a first-and-second, one-out jam by popping up Didi Gregorius and retiring Bohm on a lineout to RF.
T6th: The Bobby Dalbec Show continues. Dalbec goes the other way on a breaking ball and snaps a 2-2 tie. He's got five in nine games and he's homered in four straight games.
B4th: Strange inning, with the Phillies running into two bizarre outs on the bases.
T4th: Red Sox catch a break as Alec Bohm hesittiates as he fields a routine grounder, giving time for Lin to beat out an infield hit.
T4th: Deivy Grullon. in his Red Sox debut, drops a bloop single to left, scoring Bradley to tie the game.
B3rd: After a rough first inning in which he allowed two runs on three hits and a wild pitch, Chris Mazza has settled in and retired six straight.
T2nd: Red Sox cut into the lead with a run-scoring single from Tzu-Wei Lin, scoring Jackie Bradley Jr (double). That's only Lin's second RBI this season.

GAME 1
The Red Sox spent six innings]trying to get a lead. When they finally got one, they lost it in the bottom of the final inning.
Matt Barnes surrendered a two-run single to Alec Bohm, giving the Philadlephia Phillies a 6-5 walkoff win over the Red Sox.
The Sox clawed back with the help of four solo homers -- Rafael Devers hit two, while Bobby Dalbec and Alex Verdugo each hit one, giving the Red Sox 13 homers in the span of three games. Devers then had a run-scoring double in the sixth to put the Red Sox ahead, but it didn't last.
Martin Perez battled control issues, issuing six walks in five innings.
Barnes walked the leadoff hitter and a one-out single from Didi Gregorius put runners on the corners before Bohm came through one out later with a ground single to left.

B7th: That's the first walk for Matt Barnes in four appearances -- and it couldn't have come at a worse time, putting the leadoff man on in a one-run game.
T6th: Devers strikes again, just missing his third homer of the afternoon, but his double off the RF wall scores Verudgo from first and the Red Sox have their first lead of the afternoon.
T6th: Bobby Dalbec continues to rake, jumping on a hanging curveball, and hitting it out to left. That's his fourth in eight games.
T4th: Red Sox have flexed a bit last few days -- 12 homers in the last three games.
T4th: Two pitches, two homers for the Red Sox, who close to within one. First, Alex Verdugo cranks one into the second deck in right, on a high, arching flyball, for his 6th homer. Then, on the very next pitch, Devers goes the other way this time for his second homer of the game. All three Red Sox runs on solo homers today.
B3rd: Vazquez foolishly tries to pick a runner at third, and a wild throw enables Harper to score from third.
B3rd: Christian Arroyo hasn't played a lot of second, and his experience showed there. Needed to get a tag on Bryce Harper and instead, focused too much on throwing to first. Meanwhile, Harper moved into scoring position.
B3rd: It's clear that Perez doesn't have that sharp command he displayed last time out, when he carried a no-hitter into the seventh against the Blue Jays.
T3rd: Rafael Devers drills a pitch at the top of the zone and it gets out in a hurry -- 116.5 mph! Yikes. What a shot.
B2nd: Nice play by Michael Chavis, getting his first look at left field -- coming in on a liner hit right at him, which can be tricky. The replay overturn cost Perez another 13 pitches in the inning.
B2nd: Perez gives up a homer to right to Didi Gregorius. It came on an 0-and-2 pitch from Martin Perez. That's happened far too often of late, with Red Sox pitchers getting beat after being ahead.
T2nd: Red Sox miss a chance with the bases loaded, strand three.
PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Red Sox made a slew of roster moves before Game 1. They optioned LHP Matt Hall to the alternate training site. They added C Deivy Grullon as their 29th man for the doubleheader. They selected the contract of INF Christian Arroyo, adding him to the 40-man roster. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Red Sox shifted OF Andrew Benintendi from the 10-day IL to the 45-day IL.
- The roster move effectively ends Benintendi's season, since he wouldn't be eligible to come off the 45-man IL until the final series of the season. "We thought, on everybody's opinion -- Chaim (Bloom), Brad (Pearson, head trainer), Benny, myself -- this was the best way to do it,'' said Ron Roenicke. "There's really not a reason to force him to push him to get back to play at the end of the year, knowing that if you're pushing him, you could cause something else to happen.''
- Michael Chavis will make his professional debut in the outfield. "I've talked to him a little bit about it a while ago,'' said Roenicke. "I know he wanders out there once in a while to shag. I thin the big advantage would be to get him in the lineup. That's what it's all about. I want to give him the most opportunities we can, to get out there and play. He's a good athlete. He catches flyballs well, he's got good hands and if we just restrict him to second and first, it limits his playing time. We want to give him the most opportunity we can offensively and get him out there. Plus, being able to play more positions is going to be beneficial to him in his future -- whether he's an everyday player or whether he ends up being a utility player, that should keep him in the big leagues longer and help him stay there. I know it's not always fair to put a guy out and ask him to learn a position in the big leagues. We kind of did that with second base last year. I thought he did really with that and so hopefully, it goes the same this year with the outfield.
- The Sox intend take a look at Christian Arroyo at second base the rest of the way.
- RHP Nathan Eovaldi (calf) will throw in the bullpen Wednesday. "If that goes great, he's got a chance to maybe throw a couple of innings in the series in Tampa,'' said Roenicke. "If he still needs to throw another bullpen, we'll do that in Tampa and hopefully then he'll be ready in Miami.
- INF/OF Yairo Munoz, who left Sunday with a sore hip, "is actually really good,'' said Roenicke. "I'm surprised. They took him out (Monday) and ran him and he (responded) pretty good for coming out of the game the day before. I'll try to stay away from him today unless there's a big moment where he could hit. But I won't start him in either of the two games.''
