Bedard: New depth chart after Patriots round out initial practice squad, moves coming taken at BSJ Headquarters (Patriots)

The Patriots added 16 players to the practice squad officially Sunday after they didn't claim one player, and not one of their cuts was claimed:

TE/DL Rashod Berry
DL Tashawn Bower
DB Myles Bryant
TE Jake Burt
K Nick Folk
LB Terez Hall
LB Cassh Maluia
DL Bill Murray
TE Paul Quessenberry
K Justin Rohrwasser
DB D'Angelo Ross
WR Devin Ross
RB J.J. Taylor
DL Nick Thurman
DL Xavier Williams
WR Isaiah Zuber

Yes, both kickers are on the practice squad right now ... but that's going to obviously change.

There was some weird timing on Sunday this time around. Players were signed to the practice squad at 1 p.m., but teams couldn't officially move players on the active roster until 4 p.m.

So at least one player will be moving to short-term IR (three weeks) on Monday. The candidates: Beau Allen, Damien Harris and Gunner Olszewski β€” all three missed practice on Sunday, according to multiple reporters at practice. It could just be Allen, who has yet to practice, moved to IR. But I wouldn't rule out Nick Thuman taking Allen's spot to help the depth inside, and Folk replacing Harris. Devin Ross would be the ideal person to replace Olszewski.

There are reports out of Tennessee that the Patriots have signed two former Titans receivers, Mason Kinsey and Kristian Wilkerson, to the practice squad. That means they're expecting two vacancies.

Kinsey is a slot type out of Division 3 Berry. Wilkerson is a boundary player who set several school records at Southeast Missouri.

I wouldn't read too much into practice squad additions at this point. These are going to be glorified tryouts since there is no film on a lot of players, and figure the Patriots to have a parade of them. Practice squad signings will be the new Tuesday free-agent workouts.
