The Red Sox staged an improbable comeback win with a game-tying homer from Xander Bogaerts in the bottom of the ninth followed by the game-winning scoring on a fielder's choice.
With Christian Vazquez at third following a stolen base and throwing error by Toronto catcher Caleb Joseph, Yairo Munoz hit a chopper to the left side. Travis Shaw cut the ball off, but his throw was up the first base line and Vazquez slid in safely for the walkoff win.
Earlier, the Red Sox' bullpen had failed to protect a four-run lead as both Josh Taylor and Phillips Valdez gave up three runs each.
The Sox hit five homers -- including three alone in the seconds inning -- a season high.

B8th: Guerrero ranges over too far to his right, leaving the bag unattended and Verdugo goes sliding in head-first to load the bases.
B7th: Devers gets one back quickly for the Red Sox with a homer to right on the second pitch. Fourth homer of the night for the Red Sox, who nonetheless, still trail
T7th: Complete meltdown by Red Sox bullpen. Three runs allowed in the sixth, three more in the seventh.
T7th: The Jays have come all the way back from being down four runs and now lead by a run after Joe Panik drives a double to right. Valdez
T7th: Hold the phone on that "Weber gets first starter win'' -- Phillips Valdez, who has not been sharp of all of late, gives up three straight hits, resulting in the tying run crossing the plate.
T6th: Quite a blast by Vladimir Guerrero -- to the flagpole in straightaway center field -- with two on, and very quickly, it's a one-run game.
T6th: That's all for Weber, who is still in line to become only the third Red Sox starter to get a win this season.
T5th: Weber makes history in becoming the first Red Sox starter other than Nathan Eovaldi or Martin Perez to complete five innings. Save your ticket stubs! Oh, wait....
B4th: Devers fights off a cutter down and in and hooks it just fair down the first base line for a double, scoring two.
B4th: Conversely, nice aggressive running by Alex Verdugo, who shoots a grounder just out of the reach of shortstop Jonathan Villar, and when the ball rolls to left center, never stops until he slides into second with his 14th double.
B4th: Bad baserunning there by Michael Chavis, who attempts to go from first-to-third on a ball that he stopped t0 avoid be hit by between first and second. Hernandez, charging the slow roller in shallow right, guns him down at third with a strong throw.
T4th: Once more, Weber pays for a sinker left up in the zone as Travis Shaw turns on it and rips into the RF corner for a run-scoring double.
B3rd: Teoscar Herandez races over to the right-center gap and makes a sliding grab to rob Rafael Devers of extra basses.,
T3rd: Nice diving backhand stop by Dalbec at first, who feeds Weber to retire Jonathan Villar. Dalbec moves nicely at the position.
B2nd: It's BP for the Red Sox as Bobby Dalbec lashes a liner into the first row of Monster Seats, just inside the foul pole. Got out in a hurry, as they say.
B2nd: Jackie Bradley Jr.'s torrid streak continues as Chase Anderson makes the mistake of feeding him a fastball down-and-in. Bradley clobbers it onto the protective roof on top of the visitor's bullpen, scoring Christian Vazquez ahead of him. It's Bradley's fifth of the season -- all coming in the last 19 games.
B2nd: J.D. Martinez hammers a fastball at the very top of the zone and drives it to straightaway CF for his fourth homer of the season -- and his first since Aug. 21.
T2nd: The hard contact continues off Weber, and this time, there's no one to field it -- a sinker left up in the zone is belted by Teoscar Hernandez into the CF bleachers on Weber's first pitch of the second.

PRE-GAME NOTES:
- RHP Nathan Eovaldi (calf) played catch Saturday afternoon and felt good. Next up is a bullpen Sunday morning, followed by another Tuesday in Philadelphia. The Red Sox aren't projecting a targeted date for his return to the mound, though they have one in mind. "We want this thing to be gone first, so we haven't put a date on it,'' said Ron Roenicke. "We keep having to push this back and I'd rather get him right first.''
- Roenicke praised closer Matt Barnes for his improved outings. "Locating the fastball better, velocity's up a tick, curveball's been located well,'' summarized Roenicke. "When he was off, he was spiking (the curve) a lot and I din't really see him that now, so I think it's all about his command getting better.''
- LHP Darwinzon Hernandez (sprained SC joint) played catch. "He's really coming along fast,'' said Roenicke. "He didn't feel it at all. We're going to try to get him playing catch the next couple of days and have him throw a bullpen in Philly (Tuesday). And if that goes well, we'll have to see whether we want to try an up-and-down bullpen to make sure that he's not just a one inning guy when we bring him back. Or maybe we'll just slide him in when he's ready.''
- The Sox will start Andrew Triggs Sunday in the series finale, making him the 13th different starter for them this season. Triggs made his Red Sox debut earlier in the week in relief.
- Roenicke said the Sox are discussing the possibility of trying someone new in the rotation from the alternate training site. That could be either RHP Tanner Houck or LHP Stephen Gonsalves, though neither is on the 40-man roster currently. "Unfortunately, we're in a position where we can try some things,'' said Roenicke.
- The manager added that the Sox are contemplating bringing up a position player from the alternate training site. Outfielder Marcus Wilson is one possibility.
