- ... technically. Look, the Celtics didn't even play all well and the Raptors still needed to give everything they had to win this game.

- I gave my final take on the Patriots' cuts ... practice squad and IR rules will be a major factor.
- Red Sox had a no-hitter for six innings ... and still lost.
- Is JD Martinez staying?
- Conor Ryan thinks the Bruins should want to bring back Zdeno Chara ... I love Big Z, but I'm moving on. Are the Bruins really winning a Cup next season? If the answer is likely a no, then why keep Chara around? Don't let him stunt the growth of another player. The Bruins should be on more of a 3-5 year plan.
- Just a heads up, things are usually a little slower on the weekends around here, and that will continue to through Labor Day. For me personally, I need to lay a little lower to rest up for the NFL season. I'll pen a column later today, the NFL Notebook and will be all over the cuts on Saturday ... Sunday and Monday will be a little slower. Thanks!
