If there was one glaring weakness of Jaylen Brown as a defender during the first three years of his NBA career, it was his defensive awareness. There were more than a handful of times that Marcus Smart would blow a fuse on the court because Brown wasn’t in the right spot or didn’t pick up a switch properly within the C’s defensive scheme. Stuff like this would happen a few times a year like clockwork up until this year.
