- Just an ugly performance by the Bruins in Game 3 to dig themselves into a 2-1 hole against Tampa. Part of me wonders why the NHL is still pushing forward with these back-to-back games in the playoffs, which contributes to ugly performances like we saw on Wednesday night. An every other day grind in the postseason is tough enough for four rounds, so adding minimal rest on top of that feels unnecessary. Not an excuse for the Bruins but just a strange choice by the NHL (NBA has had no back-to-backs).
- A momentous day across sports in wak of the Bucks making the decision not to take the floor ahead of Game 5 against the Magic. That decision led to the postponement of the NBA playoffs on Wednesday as well as numerous other games in the MLB, MLS, WNBA and tennis as players protested in response to the Jacob Blake shooting. A number of NFL teams also canceled practices yesterday as well while the NHL held a moment of reflection before their playoff games.
- NBA players and the board of governors are holding separate meetings this morning about whether the NBA Playoffs will continue. Should be a very busy day on that front.
- Greg's back at Pats practice and will have a full camp rundown for you guys this afternoon. Meanwhile, the Red Sox game was less competitive than the Bruins last night.
