Good morning!
Your daily rundown of what's going on with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution, and what's about to happen, for BSJ members only ...
- We got the rare tripleheader in Boston sports yesterday and the hometown squads delivered with a sweep, rewarding those who stuck to their TVs for nine straight hours to watch the sports marathon.
- The Bruins took care of business in their first round series against the Canes with three straight wins following the departure of Tuukka Rask from the bubble. Conor gets you caught up with how Bergeron put on a show to help B's advance.
- The waiting game begins now for a second-round opponents. The Lightning look like the most likely bet right now but B's will have to wait until other series finish to sort it out.during seeding games A few days of rest for an older roster won't be a bad thing.
- The Celtics took care of business against the Sixers without Gordon Hayward, getting perhaps the best performance of the year out of the bench to help change the game. I wrote about the bench stepping up earlier in Orlando during seeding games and it was encouraging for the C's coaching staff to see that translate to the playoffs as well.
- The Red Sox won a game but that won't stop Chaim Bloom from selling off most expendable assets in what will be a crucial trade deadline for Boston later this month.
- Greg's covering Pats camp as we speak today so look out for a full camp report this afternoon. In the meantime, his latest 53-man projection is here
